Preparing Everyone Else

There are people that care about you. Don’t make them piece together a series of conversations into an end-of-life directive. You owe it to them to make your wishes clear and easy to find. If you’ve ever been to a funeral and thought you wanted something different, you’d better put it in writing. (“I don’t want a sad occasion, I want a celebration!”) But more importantly, you need to make sure it’s possible. We’ll discuss ideas and options for how to coalesce your legal documents, your letter of intent/instruction, and your hopes to create a unique experience and ensure that it’s feasible. There’s a wake, a funeral, body preparation, and/or a party to plan. What are the options and who do we need to contact? In addition, are your friends and family prepared for your decisions?
